Welcome to the Michigan Antique Radio Club, or MARC. MARC was officially founded October 19, 1985 at the Dillon Inn (now the Hampton Inn) in Lansing, Michigan. In the years since its founding of the club, our membership has grown over 600. While most MARC members live within the Great Lakes region of the U.S. the organization also is represented throughout this country as well as Canada, Europe and Australia.

WHAT WE DO….

The organization holds three indoor “Vintage Electronics Expos”  and one indoor/outdoor show which has been titled  ”Extravaganza”.  Each event offers appraisals of any vintage electronics type items brought in, much like the famous “Roadshow”  seen on TV.    At each show you will find vintage radios, TV, vintage calculating/computing gear,  vintage audio stuff , test equipment,  records,  record players,  parts, tubes and related vintage electronics items.    We never know what will show up !

Here is an overview of the “Vintage Electronics Expo” events:

WINTER- Farmington Hills, MI….  usually the 3rd or 4th Sat in January.  Held at the Costick Activities Center 28600 Eleven Mile Rd.  Approx 100 tables of sellers.   Hours are usually 8am-2pm at this show.

SPRING-  Midland, MI.   Usually the second Sat in April at the Valley Plaza Resort conference center.

FALL-  Kalamazoo, MI   Usually the third Saturday in October at the Kalamazoo Expo Center.

SUMMER- Lansing, MI.  Our largest show (and considered possibly the largest show if this type in the USA) is in Lansing, MI, usually the second full weekend after the 4th of July holiday.    This show features a “Main Auction”,  seminars, a social evening event (the “Radio Reception”) a huge outdoor flea market (with 200′ X 40′ tent in the center of the lot) as well as car park space sellers.  Also, a Bargain Auction at the end of the event. Sellers and buyers come from all over the USA.  This show has been held for many years at what is now the “Best Western Plus” hotel, on Cedar Street just one block south of the I-96 overpass.  Use Exit 104 A or B to Cedar Street.   Park in side lot and walk to rear lot.   Admission to flea market at this location is FREE,  however you must be registered to sell in the flea market or auction.

MARC also publishes The Michigan Antique Radio Chronicle, which is included with membership.  Membership is currently $25 per year.
